HowardFilms proudly presents Bass: The Movie
coming fall 2008

This year HowardFilms went on a road trip for America's most infamous underwater creature: The Largemouth Bass.
We wanted to see this fish up close and personal, but were not sure how it could have the drama of a saltwater fish haunting white-sand flats. So, we spent a year looking around for the right place to start our odyssey.
(And yes, unlike Location X, we ARE going to publicly reveal our locations when we are done shooting).
And we are going to show you some trophys and new ways we found to catch them.
You'll see fly rod pros match skills with spin gear pros - and show why the next big thing in light tackle fishing is upon us: A fish that lies just out of sight and hits you every time like the first swing in a bar fight. We loved every minute of it.
This is the first comprehensive look behind the scenes of Bass: The Movie. We pitted a conventional angler and a fly rod angler against one another in a Bass Eden. Who would win? Well, as it turned out, it evolved into a surprising team that left the Bass literally shaking their heads.
We found these Bionic Bass with some research, luck, and an amazing drive through the hills of California. What we saw still has our crew are still shaking their heads. (Trophy bass that acted like Stripers or Dorado). We are still shooting, but we thought it was time to send a scrapbook home….

ABOUT HOWARDFILMS
Jamie Howard founded HowardFilms in 2003 with the mission of "entertaining, informing and connecting with an audience in new and unexpected ways." The venture is the natural outcome of a decade spent in commercial advertising, where Howard learned the requirements (and the limitations) of writing and directing for an audience that he could rarely spend more than 30-seconds with, until now.
Since In Search of a Rising Tide premiered on the big (and little) screens in 2003, the fishing world has seen the door open wider to new fishing media. Fly Fishing America devoted an entire episode to the surging popularity of modern Fishing Films. A February, 2007 program showed packed theaters across the U.S. watching Chasing Silver on the big screen - It was a great sight to see!
