Justin Anwyl has been fly fishing for twenty years. In his mid-thirties he decided to leave the City where he’d worked for 15 years and start a saltwater fly fishing school on the South coast of England. His interests now are namely Atlantic Bass where he guides in the Chichester Harbour and surrounding Sussex coastline. From April to October he can be found teaching on the foreshores of Sussex the various techniques used to catch his favoured predator. More |

Eoin Fairgrieve is a fully qualified casting member of the Association of Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors. An avid all round sportsman, at the age of 24, Eoin became one of the youngest ever instructors to qualify in both the AAPGA. trout and salmon disciplines.Before becoming a full time fly casting instructor in 2001, he was the head ghillie for 14 years on the famous Makerstoun beat of the River Tweed. Eoin has recently been appointed Scotland's first Angling Development Officer - responsible for introducing all ages and social backgrounds into fly fishing through his Tweedstart program. |
Jeremy Lucas is a teacher, writer and professional fly fishing guide (APGAI), particularly in Cumbria and the San River, Poland. He is a long-term member of England teams, having fished in numerous World and European Championships, as well as Home loch-style and rivers internationals. He is one of only three anglers ever to have won the top individual awards in both loch-style and rivers internationals. He has also won gold, silver and bronze team medals in World and European Championships, and an individual bronze medal in World Championships. His books, which included The Last Salmon, published in 1990, have been translated into numerous languages. He is currently completing a book about the forty years of his fly-fishing career. He specialises in wild trout and grayling, with a love of watercraft and presentation, which allow the angler to make the most of a particular reach of water. More |
Simon Johnson has accomplished a huge amount as Director of the Wild Trout Trust. During the period of his stewardship the Trust’s credibility has rocketed and it sets the standards for all conservation bodies. It first became clear, many years ago, when Simon was in charge of fisheries in Norfolk for the Environment Agency that he had an instinctive understanding of fish and fishery requirements. Austen Goldsmith has over thirty years of fishing experience and first started saltwater fly fishing in Australia seven years ago. He is now based in Cornwall and provides a guiding service alongside a saltwater fly fishing and fly tying buisiness. Austen is keen to encourage others to get into the ‘wild and free' aspect of the sport and also highlight and support the efforts to safegaurd our fishery by organisations such as the Bass Anglers Sportsfish Society. Juan del Carmen made his name guiding on the great fly fishing waters of Spain for trout, bass, different species of barbel and for the many fly-caught species around the coast. For many years, Juan has worked also as a writer and a consultant and at present is working down in Australia where we hear he is murdering big barramundi on the fly.
