Mark Thursday 27th November in your diaries if you are anywhere near Belfast. Justin McCarthy and Gordon Sim will be hosting an evening reception to promote the Atlantic Salmon Reserve's famous Russian fishing on the Kharlovka and other northern rivers under their exclusive control.
Keen fly fisher, His Majesty King Harald V of Norway, was presented with a uniquely inscribed, Hardy Salmon rod and Hardy Angel 2 rod to mark his acceptance on being given the Honorary Freedom of Newcastle Upon Tyne at a civic ceremony last week. This rod was specially commissioned by Newcastle City Council and underlines the relationship the Council has with businesses in the North East region, and the relationship Hardy & Greys Ltd have with Norway.

The ACA has secured a settlement for one of its commercial fishery members. After terse negotiations, insurers have paid out £3,500 to compensate Cuttle Mill Fishery in the Midlands for the damage they suffered following pollution with milk over the Christmas period back in 2006. In Scotland, the ACA has taken on two new cases. The first involves our fifth active case of damage caused by the fish farming industry!
